About Us

•About the building

Because of the earthquake on Jan 17th 1995, that killed 6,430 and injured more than 40,000 people in Japan, the Taipei City Fire Department decided to build a facility to teach people what to do in the event of a natural disaster. The facility was intended to include many different interactive activities that simulate natural disasters in order to teach people how to respond to an emergency. The Taipei City Fire Department hopes that visitors will not only learn valuable knowledge and skills as a result of their visit, but will also be able to teach others what they have learned.
