3D Disaster Scene - Kitchen Fire Fighting Scene

  • 4F High Capacity AutomaticEmergency Ladder Display

When you are in a high-rise building and there is a fire, in addition to the safety escape ladder and common slow descent machines, have you noticed that buildings have new high-rise escape equipment as seen in the photo on the right? This is the high-volume self-propelled escape ladder. This kind of escape ladder is not common in Taiwan yet but there is one in the Disaster Prevention Scientific Education Museum. We invite you to "try something new" in the museum!

When you get to the first floor, just take a step back and you'll safely land on the ground.

  • There is a safety pedal and alarm every three meters.
  • 4F Training Area

Animation simulation equipment in the scientific and technological fire extinguishing experience room helps everyone see what it's like to work together to extinguish a fire

  • 4F Smoke Exposure Area

The first thing you see when there is a fire is the smoke. What is smoke? Smoke is the solid and liquid particles or gas released into the air after the decomposition of a burning object. According to fire death statistics, most victims die due to the inhalation of too much toxic smoke gas and carbon monoxide, resulting in the coma, shock, and death.Smoke rises at a rate of 3.5 to 5 meters per second and spreads at a rate of 0.5 to 1 meter per second. Smoke reduces visibility and makes it difficult to escape; it also endangers life as there is a risk of inhaling poisonous gas so hidden in smoke is another killer. This area simulates the indoor escape environment by compartment, uses a smoke machine to create a (harmless) smoke situation so visitors learn how to protect themselves in smoke, what to pay attention to when escaping, and how to respond correctly in an emergency.

Have you gone through a maze of smoke? Come and feel the air when it's filled with smoke!

  • Fire Supervisor Classroom

The purpose of this classroom is to help the public understand the various types of fire extinguishing equipment, alarms, evacuation equipment and fire rescue equipment necessary in disasters as well as how to operate them and relevant safety regulations of gas tanks at home so visitors have preliminary knowledge of fire safety equipment.
